At Little Lionhearts, we aim to bring you the best quality care at an affordable price. That’s why we want to keep our fees as simple as possible. Once your child is registered with us, our all-inclusive fees cover breakfast, morning snacks, hot lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and nappies, leaving you with peace of mind. The only additional fees are extra sessions, special events and school trips.
We are a year-round nursery school, operating 51 weeks a year except for bank holidays. We are closed for 3 staff inset days per year and 1 week between Christmas and New Year. Therefore, our fees are calculated by taking the child’s weekly attendance fee and multiplying it by 50.4 (weeks of the year), then dividing by 12 to give an evenly divided monthly payment.
- Full-day childcare is from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- The morning session is from 8:00 am to 1 pm.
- The afternoon session is from 1 pm to 6 pm.
- Early start from 7:30 am is available

Funded Term-Time Only
We are a year-round setting, however, we do offer a limited number of term-time-only funded spaces. There is a per-session meal & sundry charge, calculated based on 38 weeks per year and then divided into 12 equal monthly payments.

We charge a non-refundable registration fee of £250 to secure your place and to cover your child’s administrative and setup charges at our setting. The registration fee also covers the care provided during your child’s settling-in sessions.
Childcare Vouchers Giveaway!
Receive childcare vouchers that can be used flexibly for any AM or PM session (subject to room availability), perfect for those days when you need some time away.
- 4 Days booking receives 20 vouchers per year
- 3 Days booking receives 15 vouchers per year
- 2 Days booking receives 10 vouchers per year
- 1 Day booking receives 5 vouchers per year
Fees are payable monthly in advance, typically by standing order, direct debit or nursery voucher on the 28th of each month. For example, fees for October are due on or before the 28th of September. Ad-hoc bookings and extra sessions can be conveniently paid via cash or card.

Get Help Paying Your Childcare Bills
When calculating funded fees, we deduct funded hours from the total hours of childcare required, taking into account additional hours and weeks over and above the funded 38 weeks, plus additional costs for meals and sundries.

Free Childcare
Currently, you can get up to 30 hours of free childcare for 3 and 4-year-olds, and 15 hours of free childcare for eligible 2 -year-olds. The government is expanding Free Childcare in 2024 for all children over 9 months.

Tax-Free Childcare
If you are working you may be eligible for tax-free childcare, in this scheme, you will make childcare payments through a government portal, where the government will pay part of your childcare fees. You can take advantage of this scheme even if you are receiving Free Childcare.
Childcare Grant
You may be eligible for help with your childcare costs if you:
- are a full-time higher education student
- have children under 15, or under 17 if they have special educational needs
The grant:
- does not have to be paid back
- is paid on top of your other student finance
